Anytime a mass shooting happens in this country (which happens a lot); many gun owners immediately think about their second amendment rights. They don’t think about lives lost, family loss or communities broken. They think what’s going to happen to their guns.
The recent Michigan mass shooting where a 15-year-old went to school, sprayed bullets and killed four people brought out radical gun owner responses as usual. Instead of letting the community heal, many took action and began making threats to anyone involved in this horrible event. This includes police officers, family members and more.
Oakland County, Michigan Sheriff Michael Bouchard addressed threats to the community in the wake of the high school shooting that left four students dead:
“We’re inundated with threats right now. We have threats against the candlelight vigil last night, we have threats against memorials, we have threats against individual deputies or law enforcement. It’s absolutely absurd that after a tragedy, we see a huge spike in threats, but that’s what we’re seeing,” Bouchard said.
He warned that anyone making false threats will be apprehended.
“If you make a threat, we’re going to investigate it even if it’s not credible and even if you don’t plan the carry it out. And if we find you — and we will find you — we will prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law, and one of the possible penalties is up to 20 years. So it’s not funny. It’s not a way to get out of school. It’s a crime. And you’re hurting an already struggling community,” he said.
US Rep. Thomas Massie is drawing criticism after tweeting a photo of him and his family holding guns in front of a Christmas tree, just days after four teenagers were killed in a school shooting in Michigan. This is how much HE cares of the Michigan mass shooting.
What’s scary is these disgusting, selfish slugs are people with guns. They own guns and a lot of them. Their tunnel vision only sees guns. It’s all about guns. Guns, guns guns. They couldn’t give a damn about loss of life. They won’t even give the hollow “thoughts and prayers” anymore. They now immediately begin to threaten anyone involved, which includes family members that lost a loved one in the shooting.
How many more of these mass shootings are we going to put up with while bowing down to these radical gun owners? Well, with more guns than people in the US and with the average American having EIGHT guns, this is not going to end anytime soon.
