Sheriff Who Refused To Enforce Mask Mandate Is Now Sick With Covid-19

Another California Sheriff who is busy trying to impress demented dictator Donny announced today he has Covid.

Sacramento County Sheriff Scott Jones refused to impose them, while California Gov. Gavin Newsom ordered restrictions aimed at curbing a wave in Covid-19 incidents.

In June, Jones resisted implementing the statewide mask order issued. And he pushed back on the governor-ordered curfew aimed at curbing last month’s non-essential meetings.

Jones’ office revealed on Wednesday that he had tested positive for the virus.

“Yesterday, December 1st, Sheriff Scott Jones received positive test results for Covid-19,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. “He was tested when he developed symptoms late last week after a workplace exposure to an employee that later tested positive.”

The statement said his symptoms, which included a fever, congestion and light-headedness, started last Friday. His family is in quarantine as well.

The sheriff is one of hundreds of Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office workers who through stringent safety procedures and compliance with safety protocols, have contracted the virus, the department said. How and by whom these individuals were infected is unknown.

The sheriff’s spokesman, Rodney Grassmann, told CNN that Jones was doing well and that almost all of his symptoms had subsided. He refused to give more information.

“The sheriff is an elected public official so he wanted to share the diagnosis with the public but at the same time this is a medical condition and thus a private matter for the sheriff and his family,” Grassmann said.

There are increasingly growing cases of Covid-19 in Sacramento County. On Wednesday, the county shattered its previous single-day case count, registering over 1,100 new confirmed cases. The county also has a test positivity rate of 10.7 percent, slightly higher than the 6.9 percent statewide rate, placing it at the most stringent reopening standard in California.

Jones said last month that he would not impose a curfew issued by Newsom restricting non-essential gatherings from 10 p.m. Towards 5 a.m. For the vast majority of the 40 million citizens of the state.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office will not assess compliance with or implementation of any health or emergency orders related to curfews, staying at home, Thanksgiving or other social gatherings inside or outside the home, maximum occupancy, or mask warrants, including entering any home or business,”The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office will not be determining — including entering any home or business — compliance with or enforcing compliance of any health or emergency orders related to curfews, staying at home, Thanksgiving or other social gatherings inside or outside the home, maximum occupancy, or mask mandates,”

Jones also opposed the implementation by officials of previous prohibitions, including the Newsom statewide mask requirement issued on June 18.

“Due to the minor nature of the offense, the potential for negative outcomes during enforcement encounters, and anticipating the various ways in which the order may be violated, it would be inappropriate for deputies to criminally enforce the Governor’s mandate,” the office said.
Instead the department said it would operate on a “educational capacity.” It urged people, especially those in high-risk classes, to wear masks.

Sheriff Mark Lamb has covid-19 after refusing to enforce mask mandate in AZ

In this place, Jones isn’t the first sheriff. A sheriff in Arizona who failed to follow the stay-at-home order of Gov. Doug Ducey later tested positive for Covid-19 in June. This is Sheriff Mark Lamb. You may have seen this idiot on A&E’s Live PD reality show. He’s the one walking around in jeans and a cowboy hat. He has also been seen kissing Donny Trump’s ass in the oval office. This is what you call Karma!
